Parent and Child Group
In a quiet, relaxed environment with soft colours and natural materials children play freely with simple wooden toys, handmade rag dolls, play cloths and nature’s toys like conkers, shells and pinecones. There is a seasonal craft or activity, e.g drawing with pure beeswax crayons, then tidying-up time is followed by a wholesome organic snack and the session ends with ring time, singing seasonal songs.
Parents and children from newborn to three and a half years are welcome. Sessions are held during term time on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, 1-3pm in Buns kindi at Riggindale Methodist Church, corner of Mitcham Lane, Streatham. Please telephone school before leaving home to book your place. Sessions costs £5 per family.
‘Hedgesparrows’
– an outdoor nature group for parents, carers and toddlers.
A short walk leads to a wooded glade, where we arrange our base camp. Gathered together outside in the natural environment children are free to explore their surroundings. There is a seasonal craft using naturally found objects and materials followed by (organic) snack time and then we finish with ringtime; singing songs inspired by the seasons.
Please bring appropriate clothing for all weather experiences for you and your baby or toddler as well as a blanket to sit on.
Parents and children from newborn to three and a half years are welcome. Sessions are held on Tuesdays mornings during term time, 10-12. Meet on Tooting Common Lido car park. Sessions costs £5 per family.

Friday 17th June up at Steiner House. There will be a 11am performance to which our school will attend and a further evening do at 7pm for parents, friends and fans.

London Green Fair
The London Green Fair will be a free festival that reflects the green aspirations and achievements of London as a whole, as well as providing an enjoyable and engaging day out for people from all walks of life.
In the prestigious setting of The Regents Park, central London, with covered and open-air environments, the London Green Fair will be an interactive smorgasbord of both serious and suggestive takes on the environmental issues that affect Londoners.
The Waldorf School of SW London will have two stalls and a cafe at this wonderful fair – please contact Hannah (in Kindy) if you’d like to help or sell something or just know where we’ll be and come and say hello – please tell all your friends!! Spread the luurve…

Whole School Meeting 10th May 2011
Dear All,
This is to inform you that the next Whole School Meeting will take place on Tuesday 10th May at 7.30pm, upstairs at the church.
It is really important that you attend these meetings, for several reasons. We invite all the different groups to give us an update on the progress of their particular subject; the teachers/staff can give the whole school an update on the situation with the new site plus any other ongoing updates; these meetings are a forum for discussion for us all.
Any of you can get up and ‘say your piece’ – please give any points you wish to be added to the agenda by Friday 6th May to Helen Kinsey, who will chair the meeting.
At the moment, these meetings have taken the place of the PTFA – this means, as you know, Parents, Teachers and Friends – this is all of us, so please take advantage of this meeting to come and air your views and allow us all to discuss and perhaps solve problems, put minds at rest and move forward together.
