Raw & Wild Food Festival

Come and nourish your body and soul at our Raw & Wild food festival. There will be lots of stalls, live music, Café Shush, tastings, storytelling and face painting. And what’s more entry is free.

Programme of events:
Stalls open at 10.00am.

  • 10.30-11.00 – ‘Out of the Box’ Poetry reading from new poetry cards with Niccola Willis.
  • 11.00-11.30 – Super Food Smoothie demonstration
  • 11.00-12.00 – Tour of the garden
  • 11.00-12.00 – “The Breaking of the Shell” local author Barry Durdant-Hollamby, discusses and reads from his new novel, an alchemy of truth, fiction and spirituality (in the Bothy)
  • 12.00 – 12.30 – Natural Bee-Keeping group talk
  • 12.00 – 1.00 – Workshop* – “preparing raw sushi”
  • 12.30 -1.00 Raw chocolate demonstration
  • 1.00-2.00 “Nutrition for Life” a talk with Phil Grist
  • 1.00-2.00 – Healing sessions in Bothy (book in advance on arrival, by donation)
  • 1.30-2.00 – Demonstration raw pepper dip and classic salad dressing
  • 2-3.00 -Talk with Jessica Fenton – Raw food coach, writer and TV personality – “Raw Family Life”
  • 2.00-3.00 String games for children with Michael Taylor
  • 3.00 -4.00 Workshop “raw apple pie making”
  • 3.00-4.00 Joanne Oswald-Jones “How to detox and cleanse the body”
  • 3.30-4.00 poetry readings with Niccola Willis from her upcoming poetry card set ‘Out of the Box’
  • 3.30-4.30 “Wild food walk” with Anna Richardson, experienced wild food teacher and guide

Stalls:

  • Raw food for sale and wild food café – come and make up your own raw picnic
  • Various Mind Body Spirit stalls
  • All activities free except workshops which cost £15 per person
  • Workshop attendees get recipé sheets and food to take away
  • Face painting
  • Live music
